Love the poetry. I find it so much easier (let alone, meaningful) to write well when my own inspiration comes from another's work. It's as if there's a longitudinal force of inspiration that runs through artistic works which inspire further works, and that all you really need to do as an artist is just step into these ongoing streams of inspiration, and then, in some strange way, you just let that force guide you, as if you were then tapped into something truly greater than yourself, and that your "reward," if there need be one, is your own artistic addition into the stream of inspiration, and in this, as artists, we find meaning, satisfaction, peace, and quite possibly, immortality.

Thank you! The first one was the first full poem to develop out of them all. It's wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed it.

I love Sue's art and newsletter. Your poems are a fantastic complement to her Doodle Bugs! This was a fun issue, one that I'm saving to come back to again and again.

I do too. She is a very talented artist.

Thank you Jason, I'm glad they compliment the paintings. I was keen to keep the tone very similar and while I hoped I had done, the inner critic is loud, so to be hearing others say this shuts that voice right up.

It fills me with such joy that you want to revisit this issue again in the future. I hope it continues to bring you joy.

Thank YOU. Your words are so lovely, I'm so thrilled you enjoyed the poems and that you felt they fit the artwork. That was something I worked hard on, to make sure the tone fit the tone of the paintings so I'm glad I got it right. I am just on such a high after this.

The paintings are cute aren't they? The talented Sue Clancy painted them. She's on substack and you can see more of her artwork on her newsletter: https://sueclancy.substack.com/
